What counts as artwork on KidCreato?
KidCreato collectibles, Certificates of Authenticity, and contests are for original creations the child made from scratch — freehand drawings, paintings, digital art they drew themselves, mixed media, crafts, and similar work where the idea and execution are theirs. Coloring-book pages, printed outlines, paint-by-number, worksheets, tracing another artist’s line art, and other pre-drawn templates do not count as original artwork for marketplace listing, COAs, or contests. Fan art is welcome when the child drew it freehand; filling in a printed outline of a character is not. AI-generated images presented as a child’s work are not allowed. Simple rule: if someone else drew the lines, it is practice — not a KidCreato original.
How does artwork get approved?
During our soft launch, uploads go live quickly so families can share and celebrate art. Each piece receives a collectible and Certificate of Authenticity. Our moderation team reviews the queue and can reject or remove content that does not meet community guidelines (for example, not original from scratch). We are strengthening pre-publish review as the community grows.
How do kid rewards work?
When a collectible sells, the young artist earns coins (10× the sale price in coins) plus XP. Badges unlock for milestones like First Upload, First Sale, and reaching level 5, 10, or 20. Missions offer bonus XP and coins for weekly challenges. Kids with a parent-created login can see coins and badges at /login/kid.
Is KidCreato safe for children?
Yes. Parents and teachers create and manage kid profiles. Kids can use a parent-set username and PIN to see their own progress — no email required. Public content is reviewed. Contest voting is limited to adult account types (parents, teachers, supporters), not kid logins. Payments use Stripe. We do not sell personal data or show ads to children.
What is a Certificate of Authenticity (COA)?
A COA is a unique digital certificate generated when artwork is approved. It includes the artist's name, a serial number, artwork details, and issue date. COAs are printable and downloadable from the collectible page.
How much does KidCreato cost?
Creating an account, adding kids, and uploading artwork is free during our growth phase. Marketplace purchases use Stripe; a small platform fee may apply on collectible sales. Premium family features and subscriptions are planned for a later phase — we will announce pricing before anything is required.

Yes. The collector shop lets you print art you created or purchased onto fine art prints, posters, mugs, totes, shirts, and pillows. The digital collectible and Certificate of Authenticity stay one-of-a-kind. Checkout uses Stripe. Products are printed on demand through Printify and shipped to you.
What file formats can I upload?
We accept JPG, PNG, and WebP images up to 4 MB. For best results, photograph artwork in even lighting against a neutral background.
